From the ages of 1 to 6, I lived in Tokyo, Japan. I have forgotten nearly all of the language I learned while I was there, but I still credit this experience with a lot of my early development. Japanese food remains my favorite kind of food to this day and I still love their culture. The Japanese value hard work, honor and discipline very much and I believe my exposure to this at a young age rubbed off on me and made me the person I am today.
I lived and trained with CA Lanus in Buenos Aires, Argentina my 8th grade year for 3 months and my sophomore year of high school for 6 months. I got to live out my dream of becoming a professional soccer player. I became nearly fluent in Spanish and played soccer everyday 2x a day with weight training and conditioning sessions in between. The preseasons that I went through were the most difficult physical challenges I've ever had. I lived in El Pension, the dorms with the other kids who were recruited from far away and made friends that I still communicate with today. I was invited back for an official trial when I turned 18 due to FIFA rules, but decided I wanted to pursue going to college in the US and forgo that path. It was one of the most memorable and transformational experiences I have ever had in my life. Today some of my former team mates play for European clubs such as AS Roma and the Argentinian youth national team.
Soccer has allowed me to travel all over the world. I have been able to play against and with teams in Argentina, Spain, England, and all across the United States.
